The Ordinariate group in Hemel Hempstead has been without a permanent priest for some time. The group’s page on the UK Ordinariate website reads:
We are founding members of the Ordinariate, mostly originating from St Francis of Assisi Hemel Hempstead & Holy Cross Luton Churches. Since accepting Pope Benedict’s generous offer we have been warmly welcomed by our local Catholic community, worshipping at St Marks Church, part of the local John F Kennedy Catholic School.
We have always maintained our own weekly Ordinariate Masses and although we are presently without a permanent Priest, we continue as a group with the superb support of a rota of Ordinariate Clergy each Sunday. We are a merry band praying for a permanent Priest to come our way…
We have a Sung Mass on Sunday mornings at 9am preceded by Morning Prayer. Afterwards we have refreshments in the school to which all are welcome. On Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm we gather for a Low Mass with members of the local Catholic community.
