Monsignor Andrew Burnham taken ill at Christmas Mass

(From the Ordinariate newsletter:)

mgr Andrew_BurnhaOur thoughts and prayers are especially with Mgr Andrew Burnham, Assistant to the Ordinary, who fainted in the pulpit during Christmas Day Mass with the Oxford Ordinariate and was taken by ambulance to hospital. After a thorough check-up he was pronounced fit enough to go home and is now having a short recuperative break.

Thanks are due to the A&E nurse and the doctor who were in the congregation and to Fr Daniel Lloyd, the Ordinariate assistant priest in Oxford, who picked up Mgr Burnham’s sermon where he had left off and offered the Mass.
