Today is the third anniversary of the erection of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross on 15th June 2012 and the appointment of the newly-ordained Fr. Harry Entwistle as Ordinary.

As yet the Australian Ordinariate, which also takes in Japan, is still the smallest, but missionary zeal and growth potential do not depend on size. We are still longing and praying for the day when The Church of the Torres Strait may enter the Ordinariate and are hopeful that the various innovative projects (more about these in a few days’ time) will bear abundant fruit.

Our Lady of the Southern Cross, pray for the Ordinariate, Ordinary, priests, religious and lay people.

St. Augustine of Canterbury, patron of the Ordinariate, pray for us all.
