Some Lenten music from St. Luke’s, Washington, DC

Father Mark Lewis, pastor of St.Luke’s at Immaculate Conception, Washington, DC, has written the following:

Brothers and Sisters:
To help deepen your Lenten reflection and prayer, we at St. Luke’s Ordinariate offer you two recordingsby our choir — If Ye Love Me by Thomas Tallis and Super flumina Babylonis by Palestrina. May they enrich your Lenten preparations.

If ye love me, keep my commandments,
And I will pray the Father,
that He may bide with you forever,
ev’n the spirit of truth.
John 14: 15-17

Super flumina Babylonis illic sedimus et flevimus, cum recordaremur Sion.
By the waters of Babylon we sat down and wept: when we remembered thee, O Sion.

May God bless you on your Lenten journey.

Fr. Mark Lewis
