Father Jürgen Liias of St. Gregory the Great in Stoneham, MA, will celebrate his last Mass as Pastor on Sunday October 16th 2016. We take this opportunity to wish Fr. Liias a happy retirement.
Although Bishop Lopes is committed to the survival and growth of Saint Gregory the Great he has determined it is not possible at this time to send a Priest to replace Father Liias. Bishop Lopes has therefore arranged Father Richard Bradford of the Congregation of Saint Athanasius (one of the two remaining pastoral provision communities) to provide St. Gregory’s with Sacramental services during the interregnum.
Beginning Sunday October 23rd and continuing for an unknown period the community of St. Gregory the Great will join Father Bradford’s congregation for Mass at 11:30 in the morning at Saint Lawrence’s Church, 774 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467. Father Richard Bradford has already turned his attention to St. Gregory’s needs and has offered to meet and talk with the community during an extended fellowship after Mass on Sunday October 9th.
